Well friends, I've been busy these last few weeks: homework (!), classes, work and traveling to San Antonio. Some of the last couple weeks are shown in photos (this weekend's bears game for instance) and some are on the flickr badge to the right.
Yesterday I was pretty sad. Not sure why exactly. It was a blessing, then to speak with my dear friend Sue and have her let me cry a little while we spoke and to have her pray for me. I remembered that it took me a year before I felt "in my own skin" in Greenville. I've had less sad days here, friends, than when I moved to Greenville. I had less people in the same boat when I moved there; here there are many who have recently been transplanted by God. But the sad that I felt yesterday lingers a little still.
This morning I am headed to work. I'll email some students from my youth ministry team (more info on that to come), meet with my boss, Don, and attend chapel at 11am. After chapel, Lyndsy and I will have lunch (I have to go make mine right now, actually!) and then we'll head to class with Dr. Cloud. Its a class about the effect of college on students. Pretty interesting, actually.
Tonight Sarah and I are having a new friend from the Quad over for dinner: Jessica. We met her at the community fellowship and both liked her instantly. Then my youth ministry team is coming over for a meeting before we go out on our first trip this Wednesday.
Then its hopefully to bed. Last night I didn't go to sleep until after 1am. Its so unusual that I needed to mention it. I think it was because I was feeling sort of icky yesterday and so I had some coffee at 4pm. Darn that fair trade regular caffeine coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make it a great day, friends. More news to come (like the results of the football games from this weekend - at least the ones I cared about).
Love you!
